Let’s be honest for a second

Raise your hand if you love YouTube when you’re watching your favorite YouTubers, but not so much when it comes to creating content for it. Don’t worry, you’re not alone.

Producing your own content in addition to running your biz seems impossible. How do YouTubers do it? I’ll let you in on a little secret. They have help.

Just like you, they’re super busy coming up with content ideas and ways to grow their business. There’s only so many hours in the day, why not spend them doing the things that will move your biz forward?

Now YouTube is a great platform and can really help you to connect with your audience… but that consistency thing is the key to success. That’s where having an extended team member (that’s me!) taking care of your brand’s YouTube content creation (filming & editing) really helps. Why? Well, let’s chat about what it takes to successfully engage with your audience on YouTube:

1 - Posting Consistently and Frequently: Think of YouTube as TV. You go to a channel at a specific day and time because you know that there’s going to be a new “episode” for you to watch. Stranger Things wouldn’t be half as popular if weeks to months went by between each episode and they uploaded on a different day. In addition to being great content, the show’s audience knows that on a specific day and time, they can look forward to the upload of a new episode. In other words, they can depend on the consistency and frequency of the new content which helps them to engage with it better.

2-Batch your content: This package is built on the tried & true batching technique which means that we create a lot of content at the same time. We’ll film for 2, 10 hour days at the beginning of the month for a total of 8 video concepts or 4 each day. These can be anything from storytime videos to product demos to insider peeks at your business and more. The rest of the month is for editing and posting. This package is most effective when your channel relaunch date is set for the following month that way we have created 1 month’s worth of content that is ready to post and will always be 1 month ahead of content creation.

3- Don’t reinvent the wheel: You have a whole notebook or spreadsheet filled with YouTube ideas for your audience. But which ones work best for your audience? A good starting place is to scope out what other channels in your field / specialty are doing and take cues from their best performing video concepts for content ideas.

Now that we know how you can make your YouTube channel increase its engagement with your audience, it’s time to start making that content library so that you can show up for your audience consistently and frequently. Making videos for your creative business doesn’t have to be overwhelming. You don’t have to do it alone. Let me become a part of your team and help you get back to what you’re really passionate about - building your business.
